Express the given quantity as a single logarithm.
ln(a + b) + ln(a - b) - 5 ln(c)
i do not see how this can be in a single logarithm.
do i start like this?
ln(a)*ln(b)+(ln(a)/ln(b))*-5ln(c)?
and if that is right, what is next...
Express the given quantity as a single logarithm?
Let a+b = x
Let a-b = y, the you have
ln x + ln y - 5 ln c = ln[xyc^(-5)] = ln[(a+b)(a-b)c^(-5)]
