Guidance please?

1. If s = ut +1/2 at to te power of 2 express a in terms of the other

variables

2. Given 1/a = 1/b + 1/c express b in terms of the other variables.

Guidance please?
1. s = ut + (1/2)at^2

transpose ut to the other side

(1/2)at^2 = s - ut

multiply both sides by 2

at^2 = 2(s - ut)

divide both sides by t^2

a = 2(s - ut)/t^2 Answer

2. 1/a = 1/b + 1/c

transpose 1/c to the other side

1/a - 1/c = 1/b

multiply both sides by abc

bc - ab = ac

factor out b

b(c - a) = ac

divide both sides by (c - a)

b = ac/(c - a) Answer
