The element silver melts at 960.8 degrees C and boils at 2212 degrees C. Express these temperatures in Kelvin.
Chemistry help?
Degrees on Kelvin and Celsius scales are equal, the only difference is the beginning of the scales. Zero on Celsius scale equals 273.16 kelvin, thus;
960.8 C = 960.8 + 273.16 = 1233.96K
2212 C = 2212 + 273.16 = 2485.16K
Reply:Tm = 960.8 + 273.15 = 1234.0 K
Tb = 2212 + 273.15 = 2485.2 K
