I am starting a degree course in Sept and wanted to get a bit of a head start. Iam currently having a go at XNA and C# express.
Just wanted some info from people who have already done it. I am very much beginner.
Thanks
I want to start Programming with C#, any tips?
If you can do it. Learn Java instead. http://www.desktopsupport.tv/
Reply:I would re commend you get some practice in the following
Writing simple algorithms
stepwise/top down/ JSC type designing of programs
also try to get your head round anything procedural
basic sequence, selection, iteration stuff . It is all good practice ( you dont need to code all the time!)and believe it or not when you start the degree you more or less cover the subject material of your last course . A level Compsci in the uk is almost exactly like the first year of an undergraduate course ! Don't rest on your laurels if you already know the stuff , get out there and research the field will give you the best chance of great grades in the next few years . It will also give you a year of an advantage on some of the other students so perfect time to learn something new for yourself ..
Have fun
Reply:DONT LEARN JAVA INSTEAD, learn c#, C# has the best of java and c++(c++ kicks java in the anus).
Reply:just play around with a game or app as a hobby, it will get you up to speed. (and you'll have fun at the same time!)
